OrganiseUs Digital Intensive is our flagship annual five-day intensive training program in digital organising skills. It's was on February 27-March 3, 2017, at the Abbotsford Convent, Melbourne and will run again early 2018. 

Come and spend five days learning with the best digital strategists, campaigners and organisers from across Australia, the US and UK. It's for early-career campaigners, or campaigners with more experience looking to broaden their digital skills.

This is a hands on, fun, fail-safe learning environment with a twist. You'll put what you learn into immediate action, running a mock digital campaign scenario throughout the week.

We offer scholarships for people working on localised, marginalised or community campaigns, Indigenous or Torres Strait Islander campaigners, or people working for a non-profit with an annual turnover of less than $1 million.

The OrganiseUs Digital Intensive training curriculum has been compiled by Australia's best trainers, organisers and campaigners. It was originally developed in collaboration with the former New Organizing Institute in Washington, DC, and Campaign Bootcamp in London.

Bridget Todd
Bridget Todd

Bridget Todd is an educator, organiser, content strategist and writer living in Washington DC. Bridget works to amplify the voices of communities of colour and progressive political activists, most recently on the digital teams at and MSNBC. Her work organising digital trainings for progressive organisers for the New Organizing Institute was covered by the Washington Post. Her writing has been published by the Atlantic, the Boston Review, and BuzzFeed. 

Jason Mogus
Jason Mogus

A digital pioneer for two decades, Jason Mogus is the principal strategist at NetChange. He has led digital transformation projects and campaigns for some of the world’s most recognised social change organisations and movements.  In 2016, Jason and his team launched the Networked Change Report, which unpacks the elements behind today’s most successful advocacy campaigns.

Tabatha Fulker
Tabatha Fulker

Tabatha is Founder at OrganiseUs. She gets to combine her creative and strategic communication skills with the unique joy of bringing world class digital training to people looking to change the world for good. Tabatha has 20+ years developing engagement, media and communication strategies for progressive non-profits, and over seven years as a daily news and feature journalist. What motivates her? She once lived 30 metres up a Karri tree and has never lost sight of the view.

Army Syed
Armughan Syed

Armughan Syed is Community Strategist at NationBuilder, where he uses technology to connect the world. Armughan is passionate about building community and leads our NationBuilder masterclasses across website design, email, community organising and best practice.

Aaron Lamb

Aaron Lamb is Head of Digital at Oxfam Australia and is an expert at digital fundraising. He led the strategy for the Nepal emergency response which resulted in over 9 million dollars donated via digital channels alone. Aaron makes sense of making dollars. He sits on the board for Cambodian Kids Can and in his spare (?!) time is a bestselling sci-fi author.

Jessica Kendall
Jessica Kendall

Jess gets lit up working with campaigns to hit the sweet spot and create content that changes history. Jess is a Senior Communications Adviser at Essential Media Communications where she writes speeches, advises media and manages public affairs. 

Jessie Borrelle
Jessie Borrelle

Jessie Borrelle is Founder at Creative Cause where she tries to make sense of the world using whatever tools are available – sometimes radio, sometimes photo media, sometimes sky-writing, sometimes strategic communications. When she's not painting words on the sky, Jessie is busy building engagement programs with global non-profits as Client Manager at She has worked in the arts and for-good sectors for 15 years and brings her digital design eyes to engaging storytelling at OrganiseUs.

Dana Affleck
Dana Affleck

Dana Affleck is an organiser and campaigner. She kickstarted the Youth Action Project and ran the first Advocacy and Power Program at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre. With a bunch of mates, Dana ran the #BootsOff campaign which won better pay for female footy players. Dana is the founder and president of Road to Refuge and is a coordinator and the digital manager of Behind the Wire. Sometimes she writes about her feelings and experiences.

Joel Marlan-Tribe
Joel Marlan-Tribe

Joel Marlan-Tribe is a language nerd from way back, so when the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre and Anat Shenker-Osorio released findings of messaging research on shifting attitudes on refugee rights, he jumped straight into spreading the words. As Community Education Coordinator at ASRC, he works building a community of practice around re-framing our communications to lead to long-term attitude change.

Poppie Pack

Poppie Pack is Canva's senior designer. Poppie works with the team of designers who create all the wonderful templates you see in Canva's library. She has written a design and branding guide for Canva's design school, with tips for creating your own brand.

Tom Gordon

Tom's first word was light. He then spent the first year he could stand turning lights on and off. It only seems natural that Tom is now a senior web developer at Squareweave where he studies and defines the smaller and more complex switches that make up websites. Tom's main focus is clarifying the bridge between how humans and web technologies work, and he will demystify code to campaigners.
